There’s a scene when she is eating different sides of a mushroom in order to gain her appropriate size again. The pills, which are also a choice relating to consumption, is relative to the story. The story revolves around the idea of intake as she drinks and eats different things that have different effects on her. Neo, in The Matrix, is Alice deciding if to continue on down the rabbit hole.
